Vir Das to bring Emmy-winning comedy act to Dubai Comedy Festival

DUBAI – Emmy-winning comedian Vir Das is set to return to Dubai as part of the Dubai Comedy Festival, bringing his internationally acclaimed stand-up show to Coca-Cola Arena on Sunday, 18th October.
The English-language performance will begin at 8pm, with ticket prices starting from $55.26.
Organisers describe the show as a chance for audiences to experience the comic's signature blend of fearless humour and global storytelling.
Vir Das’ award-winning career
Vir Das has earned worldwide recognition for his stand-up career, with The New York Times praising him for redefining international comedy. His Netflix specials, including Fool Volume and the International Emmy-winning Landing, have attracted audiences across the globe.
The Indian comedian has performed more than 180 shows internationally, appearing at renowned venues such as the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Carnegie Hall and Eventim Apollo, while continuing to sell out performances worldwide.
Beyond stand-up comedy, Das has built a successful career as an actor, writer and musician. He has appeared in Hindi films including Delhi Belly, Badmaash Company and Go Goa Gone, while making his international breakthrough with the 2017 Netflix special Abroad Understanding.
Over the years, he has performed in around 35 plays, more than 100 stand-up shows, eight television programmes, two films and six comedy specials. He has also written humorous columns for publications including Femina, Maxim, Exotica, DNA and Tehelka.
